Goddess Goodies

(Picture from Life Magazine)

I LOVE to be in my kitchen.  It is the heart of my house as well as the family command center.  It is where all the action takes place and I spent 80% of my time there.  Cooking and baking are two of my passions and I love creating scrumptious treats and good home cookin' for the fam.  Here are some of my faves and things I would like to try. I am addicted to Food TV and love Sandra Lee, Rachel Ray, and a host of others so I will share some of their brilliant ideas as well!  Happy Cooking!

Popovers!
This little gem has won my family over......POPover that is :-)  It is super easy to make and goes along wonderfully with soups and stews as well as just a fun little addition to casseroles, chili, or any other one-pot meal you can think of!  This is the recipe from Betty Crocker that I use faithfully, but they are so yummy, who can resist?

2eggs
1cup all-purpose flour
1cup milk
1/2teaspoon salt

  1. Heat oven to 450ºF. Generously grease 6-cup popover pan or six 6-ounce custard cups.
  2. Beat eggs slightly in medium bowl. Beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth (do not overbeat). Fill cups about 1/2 full.
  3. Bake 20 minutes.
  4. Reduce oven temperature to 350ºF. Bake about 20 minutes longer or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cups. Serve hot.
